Friday Writing 3 of 3

If you could change one thing about being human what would it be?
No need for sleep?
No ability to lie?
No getting old?
Think about it awhile, and then come up with some way or ways that you would change the human condition.

  1. well, i love to sleep, so i don't want to change that.
Instead of walking, I would like to fly. That would be fun.
No getting sick! Its the worst feeling in the world.
oh, and i would like to communicate with dogs, because i never know what my dog wants and it seems really important.

  2. that is hilarious, Hannah! It does seem so important whatever it is that dogs are thinking.

  3. If i had a choice to change one thing about being human i would change nothing. Theres a reason why we act the way we do. The reason being that we are merely humans. We are meant to make mistakes, have faults and not be perfect. Its what makes us human. We live to learn and we learn to better ourselves from those lessons in life.

  4. I would take away a humans ability to lie, to make mistakes, to manipulate people. Anything that makes the human race despicable, horrible creatures. In a way, if you go with what Fernando said, I would take the "human" out of the human.

  5. I don't know if i can change just one thing about humans, because there are so many things that I could change. But if i had to pick one, I would choose the ablity to fly instead of walk like Hannah said because I have always dreamed of flying and humans are so lazy now a days, maybe that would motivate them to do more.

  6. I agree with u Odalix but like u cant take those things away without having negative effects. the reason im saying this is because some of the things u named are in a way needed for life to thrive. Like mistakes for instance. If there were not mistakes being made by humans i dont think we would be in the circumstances we are today. People need to make mistakes so that we can learn and change what was done wrong. Mistakes are in my opinion made for improvement. If you make enough mistakes eventually u will learn what was done wrong and fix it dramatically. And if u take the human out the human then what are u changing? You are making the human something entirely different. And perfection is not always the best thing out there. What makes a human well "human" is the faults and imperfections we live with.

  7. From my own experiences with humans, I think there is one thing that I am most certain should change. Humans should never lie. And if we were on some parallel universe, everytime we did lie, our bodies would be electroshocked by a minichip that was planted in us at birth. Yeah. The technology would the smell the lie --- NO! It would see your thoughts and know that what you said was in fact a FAT lie, and BAM! you're on the ground shaking like crazy because you decieved someone and now you're paying for it.
Other than that humans are cool. I guess.

  8. If I can change one thing about humans it would be that we can eat anything we want and not get fat. If we all just stayed at a normal weight and ate whatever we wanted without having to work out then that would be great. :)
I love Hannah's idea about talking to dogs because they always seem like they need something and it gets annoying when you dont know what they want.. It would be pretty cool to know what babies want to

  9. Hey Gina, have you every watched the movie The Invention of Lying?????

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yes, Amanah, I was thinking the same thing. Does lying make us human? Do flaws make us who we are, like Fernando seems to state?
Gina, are you saying there would be instant punishment for wrongdoing? That'd be interesting! Are you sure we would want that? What's the penalty for ttypos?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yeah flaws do make us who we are, but whats the harm of taking away one flaw like not gaining weight when over eating?? It is just taking away the flaw of being unhealthy and obese (: And maybe type 2 diabetes lol

    ReplyDelete
  12. I agree there shouldnt be much harm in removing the flaw of being obese or overweight but what if that certain someone likes being that way. I mean i know there are people who are obese and do not like being that way but there are also individuals who are still comfortable with themselves. Why should u have to take away something that could be prevented in the first place by controlling the amount of food you take in.

  13. If I could change one thing about being human it would be dying and being sick. Death is such a hurtful thing and I wish everyone had eternal life so that they could accomplish any and everything that they want to without having to worry about when their days on earth are over.

  14. If i could chang anything at all. It would end up being nothing because out of all our skills and differences we are able to find a way through tough times. That's how we learn. So changing that i think things would get boring.

    ReplyDelete
  15. i would change the fact that humans get sick. all the diseases out there are very dangerous to humans. the death count increases every year therefore i would change how people get sick. no body likes that feeling of getting sick so why not take away the ability to get sick.in conclusion life would be great with out any sickness around us to affect life

    ReplyDelete
  16. @ I agree with Loren. Death is really hurtful and whats the best of thing of living and you know your not going to die one day. being eternal would be great so therefor we can stay around all of our family without looking at them beeing sad if we passed away. But i also agree with stealth because if we changed everything everybody will most likely be the same or perfect. when we all know no one is perfect. This question really has my mind going because honestly i really dont know what i would change i just like being me . We go through things because it helps us grow into the person we are now. I dont want to get all religious or what not but my mom always tells me God only puts things on you that he know you can handle.

  17. haha i like amanahs. Eating anything and not facing the consequences. : D

  18. I would change the fact that humans would never get diseases. There are so many people in life that die due to diseases, including members of our families. I would change that humans wouldnt get diseases because its a terrible thing to have and the loss of someone is really tough. But sadly that is life, and maybe its life becuase it makes us stronger, but its a horrible thing to have in life.

  19. I agree with Fernando on this because like if you change what a human is then what is left? Perfection? If that was it then everone would be the same. The way people are now make everyone different from everyone else. Like we need everything we have now we can't take it away because then it makes things easier and when we don't work at things you don't get better. Like I for one hate pain especially the pain I get in my injured knee. It hurts everytime I run but if I took away the pain I wouldn't know where my limit was and I wouldn't push myself to do better. So when it hurts I run through the pain to get it stronger and to be a better runner. Where would I be without the pain? I wouldn't be as good I know that.

  20. I would change the way we learned. It would be cool if we just learned things without having to go to school.

  21. I really don't think the human being should be changed, were made the way we are for a reason, but since you ask here is my answer..
I think something that should be changed among humans is our immune system. It would really help if we all had a stronger immune system. A system that could fight any disease and beat it. That way we don't have people dying from cancer, aids, diabetes and all of the other diseases there is out there.

  22. I would probably change the way we run. I would like to run as fast as Dash from "The Incredibles."
The only thing we can do is to creat some sweet cheetah pants that make our legs move super fast when we put them on.

  23. @Amanah!
    Yours is so brilliant.
Or lose weight when you eat:)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I want to add to Hannah and Ashleys comments. I would want to fly but since i am super lazy I would want my car to fly as well because some days i would be too lazy to fly.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The ability to fly of course. Who wouldn't want that?

    ReplyDelete
  26. If I could change one thing about being human it would be having the ability to discourage someone. I feel like everyone deserves their chance at using their imagination no matter how big or silly the situation is. When you discourage someone it puts them down.

    ReplyDelete
  27. amanah's is great! i would love to be able to eat with no worries

    ReplyDelete
  28. Loren I know that not dieing would be nice but just imagine how crowded the world would be if no one died.

I agree with hannah I think being able to fly would be great. Being able to go anywhere and seeing all the great views that only birds are able to see.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Dr. Schmoll, I specifically said lying. Not every wrong doing! Haha.
I just think it's really unnecessary to lie is all.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey Sal, if there were n't any sickness how would our immune systems get stronger? We would be very weak people don't you think?

Loren, death is hurtful and sad but like there would be SOOOO many people.

    ReplyDelete
  31. ..I would change the fact we get fat when we eat..It would be better if we can eat what we wanted and gain any weight..ha..

..but honestly I would change the fact that we feel sad when something bad happens..it would be still be good that we can feel everything but that one is one ill give up..

  32. I would take away the human abilty to hurt on another. From personal experiences. It only causes problems. I've seem so much of it that it does show how harmful it can be. But I mean it doesnt make us human but rather just living. Yet we abuse it to a very high point. I think if we took it out as a factor we could better ourselves.

@ all that want to fly ... All I can say is ... HECKS YES!!!! that would be awesome!!!
@giovannieomar no weight gain would be great!! But then it'd be weird to see everyone with no fat. How would a baby grow?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I wouldn't want to fly becasue then I'd be crashing into things all the time!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Things I would change about being human would be that we wouldn't have the ability to lie. I would also take away qualities such as greed and hate. I would definitley keep our ability to sleep, and all of our body functions including aging.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Even though I said I would keep all of our body functions the same, I like Sarah's idea about taking away diseases.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I agree with Sal.
Diseases are horrible and shouldn't be a part of life.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @reyes haha thats funny . I think i would run into evrythin also it will be kinda tuff trying to control yourself

    ReplyDelete
  38. i agree with sal.sickness is something we could do without.so many people are effected and also effects family and friends, not just the person thats sick.diseases also cut so many lifes short and thats never a good thing.its sad to think that that is always happening.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It will be great if we didn't have to sleep, but always look like we had sleep. Get me? haha
We would have more time to do homework and do other stuff that we don't have time to do during the day. It would also be cool if we could fly! Forget cars! No more traffic if we could fly! :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hannah!! haha that's funny! You want to know what your dog is thinking about. That would be pretty cool if we can do that :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh sorry Amanah, I didn't see your question.
But no, i haven't seen it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. If there were one thing I'd change about humans, it would probably be the ability to understand and interpret virtually all things, because if you think about if we were able to understand anything and everything there'd be more doctors in the world, well thats a little blatant, there'd be more people actually persuing education and thats always fantastic. And second there would be less controversy in the world, less ignorance. people would have greater communication, its just always better to have some sort of understanding regarding anything at all, i mean it can be quite frustrating not understanding why somebody acts one way, or why someone does not understand what point you are trying to get across.. and thats just limiting that to human communication, imagine a world with literally, endless possibilities as far as education goes. I mean they always say "YOU COULD BE ANYTHING YOU WANT IN LIFE IF YOU SET YOUR MIND TO IT", though this is a nice phrase its a bit of fiction, I mean what if you LITERALLY could understand anything and everything a professor through at you. IF YOU KNEW YOU'D GET 100 PERCENT ON ANY TEST SOMEONE EVER PLACED IN FRONT OF YOU, WHAT MAJOR WOULD YOU REALLY PERSUE.? i.e. yes college is expensive, but if you knew for certain that you would excel in whatever major you chose and finish college, and successfully become a doctor in example and could pay off whatever loans, expenses etc, once you finished, what would you really choose to do with the rest of your life?

idk this seems kind of an out of the box ability completely hypothetical, but hey so is flying;) (though that would be totally awesome)
